TOC Club of the Year Button TOC Leader of the Year Button 

The USTA Tennis On Campus program is proud to honor a Tennis On Campus Leader and Club who have made significant contributions to the USTA Tennis On Campus program on their respective campus each year. In addition to our clubs and leaders, we also recognize a Tournament of the Year award.

2009 marked the first year that these prestigious awards were granted. For criteria and eligibility rules for TOC awards, check out the descriptions below.

2021-2022 Tennis On Campus Club of the Year Award

Application:
The nomination link is now open! Nominations will be accepted until March 7th, 2022.

Recognition:
Recipient will receive an award, recognition at the 2022 Tennis on Campus National Championship, and a feature of their accomplishment on USTA.com and tennisoncampus.com.

Eligibility: The USTA Tennis On Campus Club of the Year Award honors Tennis On Campus programs/college club tennis teams for significant contributions made to the USTA Tennis On Campus program on their respective campus.  Eligible applicants will be current college club tennis teams in good standing with their college or university and the USTA.
Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate significant contributions to the USTA Tennis On Campus program on their respective campus.  Extra consideration will be given to those applicants who have done some or all of the following:

Increased participation numbers of their Tennis On Campus program
• Increased the quality of their Tennis On Campus program
• Creatively engaged with team members during COVID pandemic if restrictions were in place
• Volunteered or worked with a National Junior Tennis & Learning program (find a program near you)
• Volunteered or worked with a tennis program in your area (find programs near you through Net Generation)
• Started or upgraded a large Tennis On Campus Event (i.e. club tennis tournament)
• Developed outreach efforts linking their Tennis On Campus program to the community (tennis related or other)
• Embraced diversity, wheelchair tennis, and/or adaptive tennis
• Worked collectively with the varsity tennis team(s) to improve visibility of tennis on their respective campus
• Worked closely with their respective USTA Section Tennis On Campus Coordinator to promote the Tennis On Campus program throughout their USTA Section
Selection Process: All complete and eligible applications will be considered and reviewed by the USTA National Tennis On Campus Committee and one national award winner will be selected.  Honorable mention candidates may also be selected on a merit basis, depending on the strength and number of applications received.
Timeline:
• February 4, 2022 - Application available online
• March 7, 2022 - Last date applications accepted
• March 14, 2022 - National honoree(s) notified

Eligibility: The USTA Tennis On Campus Leader of the Year Award honors individual college student leaders for significant contributions made to the USTA Tennis On Campus program on their respective campus.  Eligible applicants will be current college students who hold leadership positions within their Tennis On Campus program/college club tennis team.  Applicants and their club must be in good standing with their college or university and the USTA.
Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate significant contributions to the USTA Tennis On Campus program on their respective campus.  Extra consideration will be given to those applicants who have done some or all of the following:

Increased participation numbers of their Tennis On Campus program
• Increased the quality of their Tennis On Campus program
• Creatively engaged with team members during COVID pandemic if restrictions were in place
• Mentored younger participants for future leadership positions in their Tennis On Campus program/college club tennis team
• Mentored Tennis On Campus leaders at other colleges or universities
• Utilized creative marketing strategies
• Utilized creative fundraising strategies
• Utilized creative on-court programming
• Started or upgraded a large Tennis On Campus event (i.e. club tennis tournament)
• Started or upgraded a Tennis On Campus League or Series
• Organized and/or promoted social activities for Tennis On Campus participants (tennis related or other)
• Developed outreach efforts linking their Tennis On Campus program to the community (tennis related or other)
• Embraced diversity, wheelchair tennis, and/or adaptive tennis
• Worked collectively with the varsity tennis team(s) to improve visibility of tennis on their respective campus
• Worked closely with their respective USTA Section Tennis On Campus Coordinator to promote the Tennis On Campus program throughout their USTA Section
• Maintained a dynamic and up-to-date college club tennis team website
