Team History
The founder of the Eastern Washington University Club Tennis Team discovered there was a large tennis population at Eastern that didn't have people to play with and decided to do something about it. Then an incoming student contacted the eventual founder and the two worked together to make the club official with the help of the school's Club Federation and the USTA Tennis On Campus program. So far we have been successful in accomplishing our goal of creating a tennis community at EWU that continues to grow each year.

Throughout the year, the team holds weekly practices as a team, as well as trades contact information within the team to play outside of practices. When anyone finds out about tennis tournaments in the area, everyone in the club is notified and whoever wants to play travels together to compete. Whenever it is possible, the officers of the club attempt to schedule matches with other schools to play one another as competitors, but also as friends; we will play anyone and everyone that is interested.

Our mission as EWU's Tennis Club is to build a tennis community within our university for anyone that is interested in learning how to play tennis, those who want to grow in their tennis ability, and those who want to continue to compete. But most importantly, we hope to be ambassadors of the sport by creating a love for the game in any way possible.
