Team History
The Georgetown University Club Tennis team was founded in the 2003-2004 school year by a few students dedicated to playing tennis.  It grew quickly from a comparatively small team to become the largest club sport at Georgetown with over 100 members.  With the growth in membership has come increased competitiveness.  The team earned its first USTA National Campus Championship at-large bid in 2007 and returned in 2008 after receiving an automatic bid as a result of winning that year's USTA Campus Championship - Mid-Atlantic tournament, also a team first.  The team continues to grow in other ways as well, participating in several community service projects (see below).  The team hopes to continue its growth in the coming years and build on its recent successes.
Other Team Activities
• Team participates in Georgetown's Relay for Life to raise money for cancer research
• Team fundraises for UNICEF
• Team is also involved with several other community service projects
