| The University of Minnesota Tennis Club is a student-run organization that prides itself on serving the University student population. As an organization, the club tries to provide a positive, yet competitive tennis experience that aims to retain tennis involvement over the years. The University of Minnesota Tennis Club seeks to promote and support the expansion of tennis on the University's campus. Specifically, as a member of the University of Minnesota Sport Clubs program, the Club Team aims to provide high-quality competitive and instructional opportunities for members of the University community. The competitive aspect of the University of Minnesota Tennis Club allows our members to compete against other intercollegiate sport teams, while the instructional aspect offers members the chance to enhance their tennis skills. With over 50,000 students on campus, the opportunity to expand tennis awareness is huge. Matches are held for both the women and the men throughout year and are usually held on Fridays and the weekends. Every year we tour the Midwest and play other club teams as well as several Division III varsity tennis teams. Commitment to some weekend travel for match play is required if you would like to be eligible for the USTA National Campus Championship. |
