| The Univeristy of Texas at El Paso Club Tennis Team was formed a week before the USTA Campus Championship - Southwest in the spring semester of 2009, but did not continue as a team following the tournament. In August, we were finally able to establish a team. We established the team in order to give students a chance to participate in competitive tennis as a team; there are no intramural or men's varsity tennis teams, which limits the opportunities for UTEP students to play tennis. |
