| The Husky Tennis Club was formed in 2002 by freshman Luke Granlund when he discovered, to his surprise, that no organization existed despite the wide access to the 27 tennis courts on the UW campus. Our goal as a club has always been to provide a community for tennis fans of all abilites to meet, compete, and most importantly have fun. Twice a week, we hold drop in practice on reserved courts where we run drills, games, and matches. We highly recommend players to participate in match play outside of practice. Over the course of the school year we hold 2-3 club tournaments including our popular annual Mixed-Doubles BBQ, which has been held annually since the inception of the club. Our competitive teams consist of the top players from our club ladder. They travel and compete against other colleges in the USTA Pacific Northwest section. |
