| West Virginia University Club Tennis Team History The West Virginia University Club Tennis Team was started in the Fall of 2007. After a very rough year the club kind of died in the spring. However, new leadership came in Fall of 2008 and started the year off with a bang. The club is formed of over 70 people and has been completely rebuilt from scratch. 2008 is the first year that it will be enter tournaments. It started a local league for all the club members this year, and will continue to offer it in coming years. The club is also tries to help the Morgantown/WVU tennis community better by looking into things it can do as community service in the tennis world. West Virginia University Club Tennis Team Mission Statement Our mission is to provide students at WVU the opportunity to extend their competitive tennis careers beyond high school and to develop social bonds with other students by offering local and traveling options. |

| 2008-2009 Accomplishments: USTA Campus Championship - Mid-Atlantic: Team and Individual Sportsmanship Award Winners WVU Club Tennis hosts an intraclub tournament every semester. Accomplishments include several gold bracket standings at tournaments in Maryland, as well as a silver bracket standing in this last years Sectional tournament. |
