Team History
Founded in 2004, the Stanford Club Tennis team is a student organization with two main purposes.  First, our organization serves as a competitive club team that competes locally and nationally against other schools’ teams in matches and tournaments.  Our goal for the team is to win the USTA Campus Championship - Northern California and USTA National Campus Championship.  However, we do not limit our group solely to those who compete on our team.  Our competitive team consists of 40 players while our entire club has approximately 100 players.  One of our other objectives is to promote the love of tennis on campus.  We aim to provide a means for students to play tennis recreationally and also to meet other tennis players on campus.  With the intention of promoting tennis, we hold practices and tournaments that are open to players of all levels.  Our organization has grown exponentially within the last few years and now offers a unique balance of tennis on a competitive as well as social level.
