2010 USTA Campus Championship - Intermountain Recap
The 2010 USTA Campus Championship-Intermountain took place in Salt Lake City, Utah, Feb. 26-27th.  Eleven unique schools came prepared to battle, bringing 16 total teams with them.  The University of Colorado looked to defend their title once more, and defend they did.  The University of Colorado "A" Team played well and worked their way into the Gold Draw finals effortlessly, only to meet their teammates on the University of Colorado "B" Team, who had also dominated their competition.

Meeting in the finals meant one thing, that the University of Colorado had secured a bid into the USTA National Campus Championship, with the joy of that aside, pride and good tennis were the next priority.  In the end, the University of Colorado "A" Team stepped up their level and overcame the "B" Team to take the title once more.

With one bid spoken for, there was still another bid to the 2010 USTA National Campus Championship on the line.  That bid belonged to the team that would take 3rd place.  Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University struggled and played hard to get to this point, but when the final match came for them to claim the final spot to post-season play, the in-state rivals were ready to play!  The match started strong and it never looked back.  Both teams fought hard and games went back and forth.  Going into the mixed doubles match, Brigham Young University was ahead by one game, and coming out of the match, Utah Valley University had claimed victory and clinched a spot into the USTA National Campus Championship by, one game!!!

The University of Northern Colorado took first place in the Silver Draw.
