2007 USTA Campus Championship - Pacific Northwest Recap
To advance to the final of the 2008 USTA Campus Championship - Pacific Northwest, the University of Oregon defeated Western Washington University and the University of Victoria knocked off the University of British Columbia in their respective semifinal match-ups.

The championship match proved to be a nail biter complete with great tennis and raucous cheering. The University of Oregon Ducks and University of Victoria Vikes were dead even at 23 games each after the men’s and women’s doubles, the men’s and women’s singles and the mixed doubles. To break the tie, each school chose a mixed doubles team to play a 7-point supertiebreaker for the championship.

The Vikes took charge in the supertiebreaker and came away with a 7-2 victory to clinch the section championship title and one of three automatic bids to the 2009 USTA National Champus Chamionship. The Vikes will be joined by the runner-up Ducks and third place Western Washington University Vikings.

Celebrating its seventh year, the USTA Campus Championship - Pacific Northwest was attended by 220 players representing 24 teams from 12 different schools.

Congratulations to all of the schools who participated in this year's championship and good luck to the Vikes, Ducks and Vikings at the 2009 USTA National Campus Championship.
