USTA Northern California Tennis On Campus Series

The USTA’s Tennis On Campus program is designed to provide college students with opportunities for team camaraderie, social networking, and rivaled competition through tennis without the rigors of a varsity program. Perfect for athletes who have chosen not to make the jump from high school to college varsity, Tennis On Campus offers co-ed team-based play, regional and national championship competition, and helps students maintain active and healthy lifestyles through their college years. Currently, the program is offered on over 500 college campuses and services over 30,000 students.

During each month throughout the academic year there is something happening in the Northern California Tennis On Campus Series.  Different schools volunteer to host events and fund raise for their team. The host school selects the format that they would like to run, which usually depends on the number of sign-ups per event.  Participants generally have an option to sign up as a team or individually.  You can participate in just one of the league events or all of them!

Northern California currently has 13 registered Tennis on Campus Schools. If you'd like to create a Tennis On Campus school team, please email or for more information!

Happy hitting!

Maia Hoffman TOC Leader of the Year

Maia Hoffman - UC Santa Cruz

Maia Hoffman is the current president of UC Santa Cruz’s Tennis Club and is a perfect example of what leadership in tennis should be. Maia exemplifies what every TOC leader should strive to be: a wonderful example to all new leaders, and is a great source of information and advice for more seasoned leaders. As a fellow president, I know that upholding the values the USTA’s Tennis on Campus expects can be a difficult job. It requires patience, sacrifice, and a pure unadulterated love of the sport. What sets Maia on top of all other leaders in the Nation is her love for tennis, and her tenacious will to spread that love to all her members.  Way to go Maia.
